A Scholar and Educator
Ruth’s academic journey began in Concord, MA, and blossomed at Brookline High School, where she graduated with honors. Her pursuit of knowledge continued at Colby College in Maine, where she majored in East Asian Studies and minored in Education. Fluent in Chinese Mandarin, Ruth’s educational background is a testament to her dedication to cross-cultural communication and teaching excellence.
A Life Dedicated to Service
Ruth’s career kicked off in Boston’s Chinatown, where she taught TESOL to young students, bridging cultural gaps and fostering understanding. Over the years, she has worn many hats—from youth counselor and program leader to gym instructor and religious educator. Her work is not just about imparting knowledge but about nurturing the whole person, addressing both mental and emotional well-being.
At Randolph Community Partnership, Ruth’s commitment to education shines through as she teaches ESL to adults, believing that education is a transformative force at any stage of life. Her role as the chairperson of the Education Committee at Greater Youth Resource Services, Inc., and her certification in Youth Mental First Aid further underscore her holistic approach to nurturing young minds.
